Family-to-Family Adoption

Believe it or not, you are your pet’s best option for finding a new home. Some people think shelters or rescue groups would be best for placing your pet because we have experience, facilities, screening guidelines, etc.

However, an individual, particularly one who knows the animal, can focus all their efforts on that pet, provide the most information to prospective adopters, and best determine the appropriateness of a new home.

Also, shelters are stressful for animals. The shelter setting, no matter how nice, can bring on stress-related problems. Anxiety, aggression, and even illness are common, and these natural reactions may make adoption difficult or impossible.

Adoption Program – Creating “Happy Ever After” stories one cat at a time! Purpose: To give adoption -Challenged a 2nd chance at getting their “Happily Ever After’s.” We work with adult, senior, geriatric, and special needs cats who need more time and attention than typical shelters can provide. Lease for Life – When temperately lasts a lifetime! Purpose: We believe every homeless companion animal deserves to have their “happy ever after’s”. Elderly cats with a high quality of life deserve to spend their golden years with a family who loves and cherishes them. Click Here for more information.

We can house up to 20 cats in our cat building. Since our resources are limited, we can only take cats on a “cat by cat” basis. We currently only house adult cats, and cats with special needs who have a difficult time getting adopted in high intake shelters or rescues with limited resources to care for these cats in need.

Kitty Kat Haven is an ADULT-only cat sanctuary. We don’t currently have the resources to take pregnant cats, outdoor/ barn cats, Leukemia +, or sick strays.

Our focus is on pet house cats, seniors,  FIV +, cats with behavioral & medical issues, and other special needs felines.

We strive to place ALL our cats into forever homes, through Adoption, and Long & Short term fosters. We encourage healthy and balanced feline-human companions bonds. The cats that can’t be placed will be able to live out the remainder of their lives at Kitty Kat Haven sanctuary.

We are a pet cat sanctuary. We can NOT provide any medical care, spay/neuter, or help with medical bills.
